Cyberpunk 2077 Gets a Free PlayStation 5 Pro Update

CD PROJEKT RED released a free update for Cyberpunk 2077 on 8 April 2026, built to take advantage of PlayStation 5 Pro hardware. The patch adds native support for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) and introduces three graphics modes: Performance, which prioritises frame rate; Ray Tracing, which strikes a balance between visuals and performance; and Ray Tracing Pro, which enables the full range of ray tracing features.

The update covers both the base game and the Phantom Liberty expansion, and the studio confirmed full compatibility with existing save files. The download requires roughly 7.9 GB of console storage.
