About This Game

Chip and Dale take on Fat Cat's gang in Capcom's cheerful platformer built around one very good idea: almost everything in the level can be picked up and thrown. Crates, apples, bombs, pipes and even your co-op partner become ammunition, and the throwing arc is precise enough that a skilled player clears whole screens without ever touching an enemy directly.

The two-player mode is the reason people still play it. You can carry your partner on your shoulders, throw them across gaps, and — inevitably — throw them into a pit by accident. Each stage ends with a boss or a target-finding sequence, and hidden bonus rooms reward players who dig through the scenery.

  • Pick up and throw nearly every object in the level
  • Two-player simultaneous co-op with partner carrying and throwing
  • Hidden bonus rooms and optional routes in each stage
  • Boss encounters at the end of every zone

Tips & Strategy

Learn the throw arc, then never brawl

The throw travels in a predictable arc and passes through multiple enemies. Practise timing from a safe distance — a well-aimed crate is worth more than any amount of close-range bouncing, which almost always costs a life.

Throw your partner, don't ride them

In co-op, one player can pick up the other and throw them onto ledges that are otherwise unreachable. It looks chaotic, but it is the intended way through several vertical sections.

Search the walls before moving on

Bonus rooms hide behind apparently solid scenery. If a wall sits oddly in an otherwise regular pattern, throw something at it — the extra lives and bonus items make the later bosses much less painful.
