About This Game
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game is the NES conversion of Konami's 1989 coin-op brawler, and unlike the first NES Turtles game it is a straight four-player-style beat-'em-up rebuilt for two players.
The port trims the arcade's four-player count to two and drops some content, but it adds two stages that never existed in the arcade original - a snowfield and a rooftop level set in a burning building - along with a new boss. Each turtle keeps his own weapon and range, pizza restores health, and the whole game is built for cooperative play: the second player can join or drop out at any time, and the end-of-stage dialogue changes depending on who is playing.
- Two-player simultaneous co-op brawling
- Four turtles with different weapons and reach
- Two NES-exclusive stages not present in the arcade original
- Pizza power-up health pickups and per-stage boss fights

Tips & Strategy
Donatello covers the most ground
His bo staff outranges every other weapon. In co-op let him hold the front while the other turtle flanks.
Use the jump kick on crowds
The jumping attack knocks down multiple enemies and buys you space. Standing and mashing leaves you surrounded on the subway and sewer stages.
Grab every pizza
Pizza restores a large chunk of health and appears from specific crates and enemies. Learning the drop points turns the late stages from a grind into a run.
Back into the screen edge
Brawlers funnel enemies at you from both sides. Backing to one edge means everything approaches from a single direction.
