The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is a remastered release of Bethesda Game Studios' 2011 open-world RPG, launched on October 27, 2016. It bundles the base game with the Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn add-ons, plus remastered art, effects and mod support on PC and consoles. Because of its long-lived community, Skyrim is widely considered the most modded single-player game in existence, with tens of thousands of mods covering graphics, quests, combat and total conversions. The paid Anniversary Edition upgrade (November 2021) adds the Creation Club content bundle along with free additions such as fishing and survival mode.
