Fallout 4 Console Mod Storage Expanded to 100GB on Xbox Series X|S

Bethesda expanded mod storage for Fallout 4 on consoles on 27 May 2026. Xbox Series X|S received a 100 GB limit for Creations, while Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 saw limits rise from roughly 1 to 2 GB up to about 15 GB — a significant change for players who had long been forced to delete mods to install new ones.

Bethesda advised players with save files older than 10 November 2024 to create a backup before installing the update, as the patch appeared to reset the load order of installed mods. The studio did not confirm whether every existing save would be affected or only those with specific mod configurations.

The change followed the launch of Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, which bundled the game's Creation Club content and introduced quality-of-life features along with some new issues that subsequent patches have addressed.
