Monster Hunter: World Passes 30 Million Copies Sold
Jun 26, 2026 · VaultGames Editorial · Monster Hunter: World
Capcom announced on 26 June 2026 that Monster Hunter: World has surpassed 30 million units sold worldwide, combining the base game and the Iceborne Master Edition. The figure cements the 2018 release as the best-selling title in Capcom's history, ahead of even the more recent mainline entries.
According to Capcom's Platinum Titles data, the combined figure stood at 29.6 million units as of 31 March 2026, meaning roughly 400,000 additional copies were sold in the months that followed. The Iceborne expansion alone has sold around 16 million units.
For comparison, Monster Hunter Wilds sold more than 10 million copies in its first month but reached 11.4 million by 31 March 2026 — a much slower tail than World's. Capcom is hoping the Ascendance expansion, due in 2027, will reignite Wilds' sales.
