About This Game

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs — the game Chinese players simply call 恐鞙åŋĢ打 — is Capcom's CPS-1 beat 'em up set in a post-apocalyptic world where dinosaurs and humans share the ruins of the old civilization. Jack Tenrec, Hannah Dundee, Mustapha Cairo and Mess O'Bradovich punch, kick, and slide through eight stages of poachers, mutants and — the reason everyone remembers it — dinosaurs you can actually fight.

It stacks the usual Final Fight formula with guns as pickup weapons, motorcycle and car bonus stages, environmental hazards like oil drums you can kick into crowds, and bosses that range from human crime lords to an enraged Tyrannosaurus. Up to three players join at once, making it one of the definitive arcade co-op experiences of its era.

  • Four playable characters with distinct speed and power
  • Dinosaur enemies and bosses alongside human thugs
  • Pickup weapons, oil-drum hazards and destructible scenery
  • Three-player simultaneous co-op on CPS-1 hardware

Tips & Strategy

Slide through crowds, don't walk

Jump-attacking into a dash slide covers ground and knocks enemies down as you pass. Walking into a pack lets them surround you, which is the number one cause of lost lives in this game.

Save guns for the dinosaur stages

Rifles and shotguns dropped by poachers shred the larger creatures. Hold the ammo through the human stages — a dinosaur boss with a machine gun is a different fight entirely.

Use the environment against packs

Explosive barrels and destructible scenery kill entire clusters at once. Kick drums into a crowd instead of trading punches — it is faster and keeps you out of grapple range.

Mustapha for speed, Jack for power

Mustapha's dash attack is the fastest crowd clearer, while Jack hits harder per combo. In three-player games assign roles: one brawler to hold enemies, two dashers to sweep stragglers.
